SilvermanAcampora LLP and Long Island Care

In April 2009, partners, attorneys, paralegals and support staff volunteered at Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Food Bank which is one of the region’s most comprehensive hunger action organizations.  Founded in 1980, by the late singer-songwriter, the organization provides nutritional food and support services for a network of more than 540 community-based member agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, child care programs, disability organizations, and veterans’ services.  During their three hours at the Long Island Cares facility, SilvermanAcampora volunteers packaged more than two pallets of food to be donated to local food pantries and soup kitchens.  SilvermanAcampora urges our clients to support Long Island Cares and to visit its website at www.licares.org for more information.
