The SilvermanAcampora Family mourns the loss of our partner, our friend, our brother, Edward M. Flint.
Edward M. Flint represented purchasers and sellers of assets and businesses, owners in the restructuring of their businesses, debtors, creditors’ committees, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy trustees, and had broad experience in the representation of lenders, borrowers and landlords in commercial and real estate loan workouts and bankruptcy matters. Ed also had over twenty years of experience in complex commercial litigation, including detection and prosecution of fraud and the recovery of assets.
Ed was the Editor-in-Chief of the Buffalo Law Review. He frequently lectured and authored articles on issues arising under the Bankruptcy Code and New York State Debtor and Creditor Law. Ed was also a past Chairman of the Banking, Commercial and Corporation Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
For more than 15 years, Ed served as a volunteer on the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Farm Workers’ Association and on the Board of the Committee of Concerned Legal Professionals. During that time he conducted monthly “Know Your Law” sessions for the membership. Ed was active in local civic and charitable organizations, including the Long_Island_Association.
Ed was a member and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Family Service League, one of Long Island’s largest not-for-profit provider of social services, and was active on many committees and as a volunteer debt counselor.
