MCLI Event: Find out what’s happening with NYS minimum wage rules. Join the discussion!

What’s coming with the new minimum wage rules and what has the NYS Department Of Labor got to say about it?  Join the discussion!

The Manufacturing Consortium of Long Island (MCLI) has created an event giving companies an opportunity to meet with a NYS Department of Labor Commissioner to discuss the plans to raise the minimum wage for Long Island employees to $15/hour by 2021.

This meeting is specifically for Long Island manufacturers, providing an opportunity to learn about the roll-out plan and voice any concerns.  There will be no charge for attendance at this meeting.

MCLI will be asking targeted questions and requests that you send suggestions to jamie.moore@mcliny.org. There will be an audience Q&A as well.

HR For Small Business – The Panel Discussion Round-up.

The sold out event, hosted by the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, was informative and entertaining.  Dave Mahoney brought a fresh perspective to HR law and practice that many of the attendees hadn’t heard before.  He did a great job of breaking down complex subjects and making them easy to digest for both the novice and experienced employers in the room.  Answering questions and keeping on point, the panel ensured that every single attendee walked away with a better understanding of what needs to be done and what gaps they may have.

Also in attendance were our Partners, Rob Ansell – a board member of the Huntington Chamber – and Keith Frank, co-chair of our Labor & Employment Law Group.

You can view the entire panel discussion here on the Huntington Chamber Facebook page.
